Trouble seems to have followed Mike Perry ever since he had his scuffle with Conor McGregor. Even his desperate try to get a fight booked against Jake Paul failed miserably, leaving him extremely devastated. But while the world assumed that Perry’s bad days were a thing of the past, he fell into yet another pit.
The BKFC #1 middleweight fighter was caught speeding late at night while under the influence of alcohol on October 12, 2024. However, he refused to admit that he had anything to drink. The officer patted him down to check for weapons and noted that the fighter was indeed guilty as charged, judging from his slowed speech and the smell of alcohol. When the Lake County police tried to get a signature on a citation, the bare-knuckle fighter resisted, and in the end, he was arrested. With the 2 charges, a $1500 fine was stamped on his name.
A couple of days after the arrest, TMZ released a bodycam video that showed how Perry reacted to his arrest. Needless to say, it was anything but pleasant, as ‘Platinum’ lashed out at the police officers and cursed them indefinitely. But as the video began making circles around the internet, Perry had to break his silence.

The BKFC middleweight contender took to X and wrote a public apology. He wrote, “I am writing this to express my deepest apologies for the inappropriate and disrespectful language I used towards members of the Clermont police department. I understand that my words were hurtful and offensive, and I sincerely regret my actions.” He went on to address the tough work that law enforcement officials have to endure trying to keep the citizens safe. Understanding what he said was truly inexcusable, Mike Perry took complete responsibility for his actions on Saturday night.
On top of that, ‘Platinum’ claimed, “Please know that this incident does not reflect how I truly feel about the [Police Department/Officers], and I will make every effort to ensure this type of behavior never happens again. I hope you can accept my apology as sincere, and I will be more mindful and respectful in the future. Thank you for your time and consideration.”

Conor McGregor plays matchmaker for Mike Perry
In a recent talk with Dave Schmulenson, popularly known as ‘The Schmo’, the ‘Mystic Mac’ confirmed that he had indeed fired Perry from the fight promotion. However, the team was still negotiating with the BKFC legend after David Mundell called him out for a fight. And McGregor simply had to oblige to Mundell’s callout.
‘The Notorious’ didn’t leave any chance of dissing Perry. He then continued, “He was never the world champion, and he’s afraid of the ‘Redneck’ Mundell. He’s called him out now, [so] let’s see what is Perry’s response. Let’s see. He can come back, we can talk [and] we can go back to the table, but I have a great matchup for Perry also. Discussions have to be had, and that’s for Riyadh Season.”
