Ryan Garcia is not backing out of his claim about not consuming or ingesting any form of banned substances or performance-enhancing drugs following reports of a failed drug test. Many people, including Conor McGregor, have been questioning ‘KingRy’ whether he’s lying or telling the truth. Meanwhile, a behavioral expert sunk his teeth into solving this mystery and appeared to back Garcia’s claims.
Ostarine, the substance that was found in the samples submitted by Ryan Garcia, has been pointed out as a supplement contaminant. Primarily used for muscle mass and bone density increase, this substance is found in supplementary products, which has led many athletes to unexpectedly end up on the wrong side of drug tests. That’s exactly what happened with Ryan Garcia, or at least, that’s what British MMA podcaster True Geordie found out.

Given the star that he is, everybody seems to be talking about Ryan Garcia and his failed drug test. British YouTuber True Geordie discussed the incident on his show, ‘The Pain Game’. There, he claimed to have submitted a collection of video clips from the 25-year-old’s social media and even interviews with an expert who focuses on body language named ‘BelievingBruce’, or by his real name, Bruce Durham.
True Geordie stated, “I sent him [BelievingBruce] the Ryan Garcia videos, the interviews and said, ‘Is this man telling the truth in your opinion?'” If you don’t know who Bruce Durham is, all you need to know is that he’s a YouTuber who makes an assessment of people’s behavior and their body language. He has evaluated the body language of a multitude of combat sports athletes from their interviews and public appearances.
Although he did not know about the inner details of what went down during the drug test, Bruce Durham, after going through all of the clips True Geordie gave him, confirmed that Ryan Garcia was not lying. “He said, ‘Look, whether or not he’s failed the test in terms of scientifically speaking, I don’t know if he’s unknowingly ingested anything. But what I can say is, in his interviews, he believes 100% he is telling the truth,” Geordie added.
Even though the issue with Ostarine is still under discussion, Ryan Garcia was cleared of one drug test. He even went on to make a few comments about that test clearance on X.

Garcia’s cleared of one drug test
After Ostarine tainted his upset win over Devin Haney, Ryan Garcia got his first piece of good news when boxing insider Dan Rafael reported that he had been cleared of a different drug test. The test in question was for the banned substance called Nandrolone, which is a metabolite of 19-Norandrosterone. What many believed could have been a positive result ended up being negative as Garcia passed. After getting word about it, the Los Alamitos native ranted on social media while clapping back at his doubters.
“So yall realize I didn’t fail the tests now. No substance other then this imaginary ostrich substance. Level so low wouldn’t have any effect. THEY TRIED BUT NO LIE STANDS. PRAISE GOD.” Garcia tweeted following the drug test results. But we are still waiting for a confirmation on the Ostarine side of things.

In addition to Ryan Garcia’s claims about not using Ostarine, his attorney has also mentioned that drug testing officials and executives are aware of this substance and how it is known to be a common contaminant. Also, he confirmed with confidence that Ostarine did not help ‘KingRy’ during the fight in any way. Well, we cannot be sure what’s going on this front until any official confirmation.
