Conor McGregor is known for being his candid self that doesn’t hold back at all. So of course, after his teammate Dillon Danis was beaten in the much hyped fight, he had to weigh in his thoughts. On a voice note on his X handle, McGregor responded to Paul accusing him of “abandoning” Danis.
McGregor took jabs at Paul after Danis quite visibly failed to. However, the jabs weren’t personal! The fighter also made sure he hadn’t really abandoned his teammate who was disqualified from the fight for trying a Jiu-Jitsu move. McGregor defended Danis’s underwhelming and overly-dramatic performance.
“Need to believe in his shots more and more and let them go,” said McGregor. “”Some of the ones [Danis] was throwing were alright. He just needed to throw them a little bit more,” he said about Danis performance. “What your man did anyway didn’t even wobble him, didn’t even hurt him.” His latter comment reflected how he felt about Paul’s performance.
Clearly, McGregor is still showing his support to his teammate. The match may have been very unentertaining for a boxing match but that didn’t stop ‘The Notorious’ from talking trash. Fans suspect Danis’ trash talking won’t stop either. Like it didn’t in the ring.

What transpired between Dillon Danis and Logan Paul in the ring?
Throughout the entirety of the match, Danis had a lot to say. He would keep verbally and physically taunting Paul inside the ring and not throw a lot of punches at all. His strikes were not significant and neither were his attempts to strike.

In the end, Danis decided to throw caution to the wind and go in for a guillotine choke. A submission move in a boxing match is a bizarre thought. However, truth is often stranger than fiction. The match ended with a lot of security guards flooding the ring to separate Danis. And to Paul’s credit, he slipped out of the guillotine choke rather easily before anything could happen.
