Former two-weight UFC champion Conor McGregor is all praise for Claressa Shields after the ‘GWOAT’ clocked in another successful title defense. Shields faced Maricela Cornejo on June 3 at the Little Caesar’s Arena in Detroit, Michigan. The undisputed 160 lbs champion dominated the late replacement Maricela Cornejo in a shutout decision to retain her title in front of a home crowd. The scorecards read 100-89, 100-90, and 100-90.

Conor McGregor has always held Claressa Shields in high regard. When the boxing champion ventured into MMA, ‘The Notorious’ gave valuable advice to help ease her transition. Shields has returned the favor by sharing her admiration and respect for the Irishman.
