A transfer, brutal training, and a whole lot of talk, the Ngannou Vs. Fury match has everyone on the edge. Francis Ngannou is a fierce heavyweight striker, and Tyson Fury has proved that no matter where you go, you don’t want to be up against Tyson in the ring. Both UFC and PFL fighters have weighed in with their thoughts over the match. One of them was Chris Eubank Jr.

Eubank Jr is a British boxer with a breathtaking record of 32 wins and three losses. Recently, Chris appeared on The MMA Hour to talk about all things boxing, from his recent bouts to the current scenario. It was obvious that the question of Ngannou Vs. Fury would come up. After all, the fight is due next month, and the press conferences are only making the fans giddier about it. As an experienced boxer, Eubank Jr. had some very sane and realistic advice for Ngannou.

Chris Eubank Jr.’s advice to the striker in Ngannou

Chris got straight to the point with his methodical ways. He acknowledged that both the fighters are heavyweight monsters in their own right. However, it will take strategy if Francis Ngannou wants to beat Fury.

“You could catch him early on, that’s I think his best bet. If I was to give him some advice as a boxer,” Chris spoke clearly when the question was posed.”I would tell him from round one run at this guy. Swing to the fences, hopefully you land something.”

More importantly, even with the technique and strategy laid out, does Ngannou have any significant advantage over Fury? It may not appear so to everyone, and in a layman’s eyes, Ngannou has no chance. But Eubank Jr. is a professional and knows that the match may not be as one-sided as fans expect.

“Every heavyweight has a chance. These guys are too big and they punch too hard to not have a chance in the heavyweight division,” Chris said when asked about Ngannou’s chances. “All it takes is one shot.”

Eubank Jr. on whether Fury will lose

Tyson Fury has no losses on his record. The last time he came close to being breaking his record was when he fought against Deontay Wilder. The match concluded with a draw that was seen as controversial by many. But does this make ‘The Gypsy King’ invincible? Eubank Jr. had some thoughts.

“But you know Tyson can be put down,” Eubank Jr. said, “we’ve seen him go down before so if you catch him, you’re going to put him down.”

At the same time, he warned Ngannou not to try to “outbox” Fury because things could take an ugly turn for him from there on out. It’s also all-new for Ngannou since he parted ways with the UFC, so trying and knocking Fury out might actually be the best deal he could go for.

“You’re wearing 16 ounce gloves which is a hell of a difference or a 10 ounce gloves which is a big difference compared to the four ounce that you wear in the UFC.”

Even though Eubank Jr. only gives ‘The Predator’ a “puncher’s chance,” against Fury, the fight will still be worth watching. After all, just stepping into the right is about to make Ngannou $10 million richer. The striker’s experience may just come in handy against the heavy hitter but will any of it be enough? This time, there are no kicks or wrestling around on the mat. It’s just two sets of heavy gloves and sheer strength and resilience. Will Fury retain his no-loss streak? There’s only one way to find out.
