Jake Paul, the controversial YouTube star-turned-boxer, is currently gearing up for his 7th professional boxing match against Tommy Fury. Both fighters are undefeated in their careers, and each is determined to knock off the other’s ‘0’ in the loss column. However, only one will emerge victorious from the highly anticipated matchup.
Despite his undefeated record, Jake Paul continues to be thrown under the bus and not taken seriously by many who don’t view him as a real boxer. However, former UFC title challenger Kevin Florian thinks otherwise. In a recent interview, Florian showered praise on ‘The Problem Child’ for putting in the real effort to hone his skills and for his willingness to step into the world of mixed martial arts next. And in spite of the fact that Florian is not a big fan of YouTube boxing, he considers Jake Paul to be ‘dangerous’.

In a recent interview with MMAFighting, Kenny Florian expressed his respect for Jake Paul’s boxing career, acknowledging that the YouTuber-turned-boxer is just as serious and dedicated as any other athlete. However, Florian also believes that Paul doesn’t need to pursue boxing and MMA, stating that he’s already made a name for himself.
The 46-year-old also commended Paul for making wise choices in his battle selection and for transitioning from boxing to MMA, noting that it takes great fortitude to do so. Kenny Florian added, “For him to go in there, train hard, prepare for these boxing fights, he’s picking the right fights, clearly an intelligent guy. He’s making the right decisions of who he fights… He’s showing that he is dangerous. Now he wants to try his hand at mixed martial arts. I love it.”

Florian said, “There’s so much to the game when you’re talking about all the different skills he needs to have… The weight cutting, the nutrition, the strength and conditioning. There is so much to do when preparing for a mixed martial arts contest. He will find out about that very soon.”
The UFC veteran believes that Paul still has a lot to learn about the sport and that time will take care of the rest. However, one thing is for sure: ‘The Problem Child’ is not one to shy away from a challenge.
