The two are fighting in Dallas on 5 August. With the event just around the corner, fighters and fans have already started picking their favorites. But it seems, the fight is exciting more than just combat fans.

Jake ‘The Problem Child’ has been making a name for himself in the world of professional boxing. He has tussled with some of the best boxers in the world today. Nate Diaz, who is a legendary UFC and MMA fighter, has decided to take the fight to Paul – in a boxing ring.

The fans have already started picking sides but the biggest surprise was when one of the most prominent and respected figures in the world hip-hop scene, picked a side – and blatantly.

Nate Diaz was recently asked about his plans after his fight against Jake Paul, to which he replied saying, “After this fight, I’m planning on taking over the whole world when it comes to this fight s**t.” This was shared as a post on Instagram which was later shared by Diaz himself, on his story.

Famous American rapper Lil Wayne, who is a co-owner of PFL (the promotion that Jake Paul and Francis Ngannou are signed to) shared Nate Diaz’s story on his Instagram account, hinting at the fact that the rapper might be rooting for Diaz in this fight.

Fans Pick Sides in the Diaz vs. Paul boxing bout

Nate Diaz vs. Jake Paul – a fight of this magnitude is bound to create excitement among fans of both MMA and boxing. When Diaz shared his future plans ahead of the boxing bout, the fans took to the comment section to share their thoughts on the fight and what could be next for the former UFC lightweight fighter.

“Idc what he says, we’re rocking with Nate 100%“, said one fan of Diaz while another also showed support by saying, “I got nate after him saying this let’s go nate“. 

Some fans seemed to think that Diaz winning against Paul was a near impossibility. “Use this as a nate sorry but you lost button😭” said one while another commented saying, “Nate is an OG but he’s never beating a world class competitor ever again.“. Nate Diaz, who is 38 years old, is taking on a 26-year-old young and raging Jake Paul.

The trolling didn’t stop there as. “Ok grandpa, let’s get you to bed“, commented one fan, calling the former UFC fighter a ‘grandpa’. Another fan seemed sure that Jake Paul would win the fight and commented, “How unfortunate his path ends on Saturday“.

Some fans were convinced that Nate Diaz’s next fight, after Jake Paul, would be former UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor. “conor vs nate 3 save this comment“, said one fan as another followed suit saying, “He’s gonna fight Conor after this to break the tie I hope“. 

The fight on 5 August promises to be a stupendously thrilling one. Diaz is looking to return to combat after almost a year away. If he wins this fight, then the world would really be the oyster for Diaz.
