When Jake Paul first started his career as a boxer, it appeared to be more of an entertainment gig and nothing more. But the YouTuber aimed for a bigger picture to paint with this endeavor. And today, Jake stands as an undefeated boxer with a 6-0-0 record in his professional boxing career.

It was rumored that ‘The Problem Child’ will face Tommy Fury in the boxing ring in February, but the latter allegedly shunned Jake Paul in this bout. Speaking of Tommy Fury, Joe Rogan and Dave Portnoy came to a disagreement over their viewpoint on him. Where the UFC commentator stressed the fact that Tommy is a real deal, Portnoy thinks otherwise. And commenting on their debate, the ex-UFC fighter and Jake Paul’s former opponent weighed in with some strong claims, favoring ‘The Problem Child’ who will soon appear in MMA, too.

In response to the clip of Joe Rogan and Dave Portnoy arguing over the credibility of Tommy Fury as a boxer, Ben Askren joined in with his side of the explanation and backed the Youtuber-turned-boxer.

The former UFC fighter wrote, “If Tommy Fury was a real boxer he woulda shown up and beat up Jake Paul and took home a bunch of money and fame. He was too scared to show up and I think that says a lot!”

Ben Askren fought Jake Paul in 2021 and lost the bout via knockout in the opening round itself. Having said that, the 25-year-old has proved his mettle as a boxer well enough and now eyes to dominate the MMA realm. That’s correct. The YouTuber has now signed a multi-year deal with PFL.

“Well that would be delightful, but my UFC contract froze when I retired. Lots of hurdles to clear, someone take care of those for me and I’d love to rub his face in the canvas for a while.”, wrote the Hartland native.

Furthermore, the younger one of the Paul Brothers released an official statement on his MMA debut announcement, too:

“I’ve proven myself in and out of the boxing ring and now I am going to do the same in MMA. There is no limit to the positive impact I can make on the sport. I plan to enter the PFL SmartCage and once again show the world that anything is possible with hard work and dedication.”, stated ‘The Problem Child’.
