Former UFC champion Francis Ngannou shocked the MMA world when he left the UFC due to failure in contract negotiations. He mentioned his wish to get into boxing and fight the WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury. But nothing has been materialized yet. UFC’s trash-talking legend Chael Sonnen believes that Ngannou should give Dana White a call to come back.

Chael Sonnen believed that Ngannou could seek to undertake other, more lucrative ventures after his UFC exit. However, as of now, ‘The American Gangster’ believes that ‘The Predator’ should think straight and come back to the UFC.

Sonnen mentioned how Tyson Fury made a joke about fighting the former UFC champion at Wembley Stadium. He said, “Let me put this in perspective for you. This is a very big deal. Three days ago was April 1st, and they put out an April 1st joke.” Sonnen added, “Tyson Fury pulled out an April 1st joke on social media that he and Francis was done and they are fighting in Wembley on May 15.”

Sonnen was livid at the fact that a boxing world champion made a joke when Ngannou was serious about fighting him. He said, “Tyson Fury made a joke. Francis [Ngannou] has changed his whole life.” ‘The American Gangster’ also mentioned that the choice to leave UFC and seek a fight against a fighter who has made a mockery of the situation has put Ngannou in a tough predicament.

Sonnen urges Ngannou to call Dana White

Sonnen claims that the French-Cameroonian fighter’s life has significantly changed since his UFC exit.

‘The American Gangster’ believes that Ngannou has only one choice, and that choice is what will keep his career alive. “He’s got to get some cold water. He has to wake up, and he needs to call back his boss.”

Francis Ngannou is now 36 years old and most probably approaching the twilight stages of his fighting career. Many fans feel he is losing some valuable time while waiting for his boxing career to kick off. But Sonnen believes he can still come back to the place where he became a star.
