Michael Bisping, in his YouTube channel series ‘Instant Reaction,’ shared his thoughts on the upcoming boxing match between Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury. Bisping referred to a tweet by MMA journalist Ariel Helwani, which stated that the bout would follow the official rules of professional boxing.

The fight was previously announced as an exhibition between the two fighters with no knockdowns. However, it seems the rules have been modified. While Bisping expressed his happiness for Ngannou to have the opportunity to face an iconic opponent like Fury, he was not a fan of one particular condition for the fight.

Despite his concerns about the stakes involved, Michael Bisping acknowledged that Francis Ngannou deserved the massive opportunity and payday that comes with facing Tyson Fury. He also stated that he will be watching the event regardless of whether the title was on the line or not.

Bisping highlighted that he was unsure if Fury’s belt would be on the line, “But we don’t know whether or not Tyson Fury’s belt will be on the line, and that’s the big one, this should be on the line.

 

He also emphasized that Ngannou should receive a fair percentage of the earnings for stepping into the ring with a renowned boxer like Fury. He stated, “I’m so happy for him; listen, he deserves it; they all deserve it.”

Francis Ngannou gets what the UFC wasn’t willing to provide

For Francis Ngannou, this fight holds significant importance as it may be the biggest of his career since parting ways with the UFC due to contractual disagreements. Ngannou had sought the freedom to pursue boxing matches outside of the UFC, and it appears he has now found the opportunity he was looking for.
