Conor McGregor is one of the greatest knockout artists the sport of MMA has ever seen. Moreover, his former rival, Dustin Poirier, is on the same level as the Irishman when it comes to striking prowess. Both of them have 33 KO/TKO wins in their careers combined. However, 22-year-old boxer Callum Walsh, who’s endorsed by Dana White, believes that he can beat both of them in the striking department.

Ireland doesn’t only brew MMA stars, but also great boxers. As such, Dana White discovered a talented boxer in Callum Walsh. The 22-year-old boxer, hailing from Cork, is undefeated with eight wins and zero losses. Moreover, seven of those eight wins came via knockouts, which has given the confidence to challenge McGregor and Poirier. Let’s take a look at what’s been said.

There have been many fighters who like to test the strength they have in the strikes. For this reason, the punching machines serve as the perfect instrument. In the past, both Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier have tested their strength in their dominant punching hand and the power they showcased was not that far apart from each other.

When Dustin Poirier hit the punching machine, he got a score of 847 Newton. On the other hand, when Conor McGregor hit the machine, he grabbed a score of 860 Newtons. However, those scores come nowhere close to what the young boxer Callum Walsh had to offer.

Callum Walsh defeated both Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier and edged past them with more than 100 units. His punches secured a score of 977 Newtons. None of the UFC stars could come near him. However, there is a thing about boxers.

There have been a lot of fighters who’ve tried the punching machine. Superstars such as Jon Jones, Alex Pereira, and Ciryl Gane have all tried their hands at the punching machine. Unfortunately for ‘Bones’, he could only grab a score of 519 Newtons. Maybe it was not his day! But when it comes to Pereira and Ciryl Gane, they scored an impressive 969 and 999 Newtons respectively, with the latter destroying the punching machine.

However, the most impressive punching power showcased by an MMA fighter was the former UFC champion, Francis Ngannou. He tried his hands on the PowerKube machine and scored a staggering 129,161 Newtons, which is unheard of. He still holds the record for the most powerful punch by an MMA or UFC fighter.

Every combat sports athlete has the ‘knock people to sleep’ ability with their vicious strikes. Moreover, the punching machines aren’t always accurate. So, it would be unfair to compare them to one another. However, there is no shame in a little bit of competition and fighters continue to challenge each other whenever they get the chance.
