Now, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, that dream is about to come true. Ngannou, who now fights for the PFL, has been preparing day in and day out. Khai Wu is a PFL star like none other. He is soon to battle Phil Caracappa in November of this year. The fighter sat down for an exclusive interview for Essentially Sports’ fancast. Of course, the much-awaited Francis Ngannou match had to be brought up.

Being in the PFL for so long has afforded Wu a unique perspective on how things go down in the promotion. So a boxing match between a former UFC fighter obviously has a lot of pull. However, will Ngannou win? And if he does, what’s next for him? Wu had some predictions of his own.

“I think in boxing, especially heavyweights there’s always a one-hitter-quitter. There’s always a chance of someone getting knocked out,” said Wu. “And frankly speaking I don’t know if Tyson Fury is taking Francis very seriously and Francis has had a bunch of time to kind of rest up… I do think Francis could get the job done. Now is it likely? I don’t know but I know he has one of the hardest punches in the world ever recorded so, I actually think if Tyson Fury doesn’t him seriously he can get slept.”

Wu’s predictions are as logical as they get. All throughout the promotion of the fight, Fury has been teasing and taunting Ngannou, trying to lure him into the fight. As if trying to get Ngannou to relax his guard. Does Fury not take Ngannou seriously? For his own good, he better give ‘The Predator’ all his due credit. After all, his preparations are smart and tactical.
