UFC champion Aljamain Sterling just surprised the MMA world with a surprise collaboration. The UFC Bantamweight champion posed for a picture with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul and shared it on social media. Now, fans are stepping forward with some strong reactions to ‘Funkmaster.’
Aljamain Sterling has been making headlines since defending his title against Henry Cejudo at UFC 288. The 33-year-old took an issue with Dana White announcing his next fight against Sean O’Malley at UFC 292, without consulting him. ‘Aljo’ has since been unapologetically volatile on social media and wants the respect he thinks he is owed.
After a series of bold Tweets concerning the tension with Dana White and some back-and-forths with Sean O’Malley, Sterling has taken the bold move to pose with the controversial YouTuber Jake Paul. Paul had no shortage of haters in the MMA community thanks to his early fights against aging MMA veterans. Now, Sterling is getting some of the same treatment after posing with him.

In a recent Instagram post, Aljamain Sterling shared a picture of himself with Jake Paul. In the caption, he wrote, “Gotcha hat” referencing Paul’s infamous run-in with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Notably, during the build-up to the Logan Paul vs Floyd Mayweather clash, ‘The Problem Child’ snatched the undefeated boxer’s hat during a confrontation, which led to Mayweather chasing him down and security having to step in and separate them.
