Anthony Joshua knocked out the former UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou, in their fight in Saudi Arabia. Given that the Former UFC heavyweight champ had never been knocked out in his career, seeing the Cameroon native out cold inside the boxing ring raised concern for fans across the globe.
During a recent interview with Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour, “The Predator” addressed his loss against the heavyweight boxer. He also told him what he had experienced inside the ring.
Francis Ngannou explains his only KO loss

Ex UFC fighter, Francis Ngannou is the person who is known for having the most devastating punch on the planet. Accumulating over 12 devastating KOs in his MMA career, the Cameroonian had never experienced getting KO’d himself, until recently, when he found himself on the mat against Anthony Joshua.
Ngannou explained his first knockout loss to Helwani, saying, “I was never in that fight. It was weird. It was a weird day, a weird evening. I was tired. I was in the locker room for four hours and a half waiting… I never came back from the stool. I don’t remember when I came back from stool to go back to the second round. That shows just how weird it was. From there, from the stool in the second round, in between rounds, I wasn’t there anymore.”
Francis Ngannou’s KO loss against Francis Ngannou has left him feeling like he has some unfinished business in the sport. The 0-2 boxer took to his YouTube channel to explain how he now looks to get things straight on his boxing record.

“The Predator” talks about his future in Boxing
During a video uploaded on the Cameroonian fighter’s YouTube channel, he claimed that he doesn’t blame anyone or himself for his loss against the Englishman in Saudi Arabia given how he didn’t leave any stone unturned in his preparation. However, he did feel the like sport owed him something after his loss.
In the YouTube video, he stated, “I feel like boxing owes me something now. I have to regain what boxing took from me. I think my ego will not let me step back and let this go like this without doing everything to reinstall and prove to the world that I am the man of this job.”
