UFC CEO Dana White seemed ecstatic about the prospect of hosting events inside the MSG Sphere. As such, the 56-year-old recently revealed that he is planning to host another edition of Noche UFC in the $2.3 billion-worth arena. Subsequently, ex-UFC fighter Francis Ngannou shared a tweet as a dig at his former employer.
Noche UFC, which took place last month, was a resounding success. The card featured a lot of UFC fighters. Francis Ngannou takes a dig at Dana White’s future Noche UFC plans
Dana White’s plans to bring the next UFC Mexican Independence Day event to the MSG Sphere in Las Vegas. He claims to be able to do amazing things if he had the opportunity to host an event in that billion-dollar venue. The idea of bringing Noche UFC to the Sphere can be credited to the success of the event, which earned a total gate of more than $2 million.
Noche UFC also saw a controversial ending to the main event between Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko. Regardless of that, it still proved to be a great event. However, Francis Ngannou did not waste the opportunity to take a jibe at Dana White. The $2.3 billion venue recently promoted the fight between ‘The Predator’ and Tyson Fury. Ngannou took that as a means to send Dana White a message.

Despite Dana White’s plans for next year, Francis Ngannou swiftly reminded the 54-year-old that the first fight ever to be featured at the Sphere was between him and Tyson Fury. Besides, the UFC CEO’s event plans for Mexican Independence Day also affected another combat sports star, Canelo Alvarez‘s plans. Let’s check the details on that front.
Canelo Alvarez had to postpone his fight due to Noche UFC
Santos Saul Alvarez Barragan, popularly known as Canelo Alvarez, is one of the biggest boxing stars of this generation. He is also the most popular boxer hailing from Mexico as of now. Hence, he wanted to schedule his recent fight against Jermall Charlo during Mexican Independence Day to celebrate his native country’s most auspicious occasion. However, that did not come to fruition.
