Joe Rogan has never stepped down from praising entities where they deserve it. This time, the UFC color commentator lifted the fighting prowess of the British professional boxer Anthony Joshua as he knocked the former UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou, out cold within the second round of their bout.

‘The Predator’ was not someone one could take down easily. Ngannou was, without a doubt, one of the strongest fighters in the world of mixed martial arts. However, the squared ring executed a distinct reality for the fighter. Let’s see what the JRE host had to say about the boxing bout and the knockout artist.

In the recent episode of the JRE Fight Companion, the famed podcaster sat down together with Brendan Schaub, Bryan Callen, and Brian Simpson. As the conversation continued, they stumbled upon the fight between Joshua and Ngannou. Needless to say, the Cameroonian fighter disappointed the entire world of mixed martial arts when he walked out of the UFC, leaving behind the highly anticipated matchup with Jon Jones

Schaub, however, pointed out that Ngannou earned about ten times more fighting Joshua than what he would have earned against Jones. He said, “It’s a weird thing too, because you want Francis to go on and make all the money, but you selfishly wish he was still in the UFC to fight Jon Jones. But even if he fought Jon Jones, he made 10 times more money fighting Tyson and Anthony Joshua.”

This indeed intrigued Rogan and he questioned whether Schaub knew the exact amount. Schaub pointed his finger towards the number 20 just from the PPV. The 56-year-old podcaster was impressed. But then he started talking about Joshua’s fighting prowess. Rogan said, “Wow! And then Anthony Joshua probably another. The thing is no one had seen Francis fight as a boxer and no one knew what to expect. But then Anthony Joshua got to study his style and see the holes in his game. And he exploited them like a f***ing professional.”

Despite the unfortunate defeat Ngannou faced in the match, the UFC color commentator believed that he would have been the heavyweight champion in the realm of boxing, had he joined boxing instead of UFC. Let’s see what Rogan thinks of Ngannou’s boxing career.

JRE host talks about ‘The Predator’s boxing career

In episode #150 of JRE MMA Show, Daniel Cormier asked for Rogan’s opinion on ‘The Predator’ taking on Tyson Fury. Rogan seemed to believe that the fighter was nothing but a special entity in the fighting community. He said, “I think it says more about Francis. I think Francis is just a special dude. I don’t imagine, no, I don’t think. I don’t imagine.”

Without a doubt, the fanbase keeps on growing in support of Ngannou. But will Ngannou ever become a champion of the boxing ring? Only time can tell.
