Dmitry Bivol is on a mission to avenge his first loss. The Russian light heavyweight boxer is on track to face the man who took his WBA and IBO titles to become the undisputed light heavyweight boxing champion Artur Beterbiev. With the guidance of Turki Alalshikh, this event is going to be electrifying. And not to sell this event short, Alashikh has booked Joseph Parker vs. Martin Bakole for a co-main heavyweight clash. Keeping a close on the action is former 2-time UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, who made his picks for Saturday’s event.
Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol are the two best names in light heavyweight boxing currently. Both have an equal chance to beat the other, despite Bivol being the slight favorite going into the fight according to Forbes. Bivol might be the slight favorite, but Beterbiev is the undisputed champ after all. Recognizing the potential of this rematch, and not wanting to leave things to chance, Turki Alalshikh wasted no time in booking the match.
Meanwhile, Kiwi heavyweight boxer Joseph Parker was scheduled to face IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois at the event, but the latter pulled out due to an illness. Now, Parker will face Congolese heavyweight Martin Bakole who is coming off three knockout wins.

It should be worth noting that Israel Adesanya had bet on Dmitry Bivol winning when the Russian boxer met Artur Beterbiev for the first time in October last year. It will be interesting to see if ‘The Last Style Bender’s’ predictions turn into a hefty payout. So what did fans say? Well, let’s just say that the fans weren’t too thrilled with Adesanya’s picks this time around.
Fans react to Izzy betting on Bivol again
When Izzy bet money on Bivol winning his first showdown with Beterbiev, he posted a clip on Instagram of himself interacting with the light heavyweight boxer. The clip also revealed that Adesanya bet $10,000 on Bivol’s win. Several fans had commented back then that Izzy’s bet cursed Bivol’s chances of winning before the fight. This time the fans fear the same as one of them commented, “Neither of these hitting bro.” Another follower said, “Izzy again you gon bet on Bivol.”

Another follower said, “Bro you’re wrong this time. I don’t see Parker surviving 12 rounds with Martins.” One fan wrote, “Don’t start being the [Drake] curse my man. You’ve got too much fight left in you bro 💪🏽.”
The scorecards had one judge scoring the bout a 114-114 draw, while the other two judges scored 115-113 and 116-112 in favor of Beterbiev. This did raise a lot of debate with many fans and veterans including Turki Alalshikh saying that Bivol deserved to win which led to the current rematch.
But the fans stuck to their apprehensions as one of them said, “What a waste of money.” Another follower said, “Brother I think neither of them is sorry.”, taking a shot at Adesanya’s picks once again. Finally, one fan spelled doom for the Kiwi fighter’s picks, saying, “You are going to lose.”

Izzy does not have a stroke of good luck with betting. Even others who have bet on him have lost as well. Canadian rapper Drake bet almost half a million dollars on him to beat Dricus du Plessis at UFC 305, and it did not go as planned. Adesanya has also previously bet on Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Duboi putting up $10,000 for Joshua. What happened? He lost. Remember when he bet on Devin Haney beating Ryan Garcia? Same thing.
So do you think he will win the bet this time? Well, that all banks on Bivol and Parker’s performances this Saturday. Tell us in the comments below.
