Dillon Danis is a Welterweight fighter in Bellator MMA. He also happens to be an old friend and coach to the former UFC Lightweight champion Conor McGregor. The Bellator MMA fighter is McGregor’s Jiu-Jitsu coach and sparring partner as well. Naturally, when it comes to Danis, his friend McGregor has and always will take a stand.

When the undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov assaulted Dillon Danis backstage, McGregor flew across the world to confront the former UFC Lightweight champion. This time, as Dillon Danis finds himself beefing with boxing Welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr., his friend and sparring partner Conor McGregor showed up in support, yet again.

The Welterweight champion of professional boxing, Errol Spence Jr. took a dig at Bellator MMA and its events, disregarding the importance of it and claiming nobody really cared about it. Hailing from the promotion, Dillon Danis took it upon himself to defend the honor of the promotion as he called out Spence Jr., offering to donate $5 million to any charitable fund of Spence Jr’s choosing, if he could last a round with him.

The Irishman was quick to show his support for his friend over at Bellator MMA as he shared a picture of Dillon Danis and himself, that the former had uploaded previously. He also added a comment that read, “Shine and win“, crisply letting the world know that he was rooting for his friend. 

The outrageous challenge that Dillon Danis offered was ridiculed by some people as they questioned whether the Bellator MMA Welterweight fighter actually had the sum of money to donate.

The picture that McGregor shared on his Insta story showed both Danis and McGregor in training gear. The cryptic message that people can take away from this is that there could be a possibility that Conor McGregor would be doing more than just cornering Danis.

One of UFC’s most popular fighters, Conor McGregor, called out former undefeated world boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. back in 2017. Although the Irishman did put up a great fight, he was simply outclassed and outmatched by the boxer.

Now that Dillon Danis is beefing with Errol Spence Jr., people are speculating that there could be yet another MMA-Boxing fight on the horizon. However, this time, Danis might have experienced support and strategies from Conor McGregor.
