During the conversation on ‘Smack Talk’, Sandhu asked Anik about his thoughts on how the fight between Diaz and Paul would play out. Although the commentator supported Paul, he couldn’t steer clear of Diaz’s exceptional skills. He was indeed excited about the fight and seemed happy for Diaz getting a big payday.

The commentator said, “Well, I guess I’d probably give Nate a better chance than a lot of people do, but I am a Jake Paul supporter and I think it’s a dangerous fight for Nate. I think it’s reflected in the betting line. You know, I’m excited. I’m excited for Nate to get this payday. I think it stands to reason this is a bit bigger payday and a bigger fight than most of the boxing fights that might have been there for Nathan. So. yeah, I’m excited to see it. They’re certainly going to get my money.”

Nevertheless, Anik seemed to think that the Stockton native would surprise the entire globe. After declaring that Mike Perry was trying to be the backup fighter, he believed that Diaz would be present for the fight. He said, “Nate’s gonna be there and I do think even though there’s maybe a size discrepancy and a strength discrepancy, I think Nate Diaz could surprise people. I’m contractually prevented from betting on it, but I think Nate Diaz is a live underdog, come August 5th.”
