Conor McGregor released Proper No. Twelve to the market in 2018. Six years later, his own Whiskey line has cut any ties with the Irish fighter after his conviction for the Nikita Hand case. Proximo Spirits, the parent company that bought Proper No. Twelve in 2021 in exchange for $600 million, will stop using McGregor’s image to promote the brand. Not only that, but many other brands have pulled out McGregor as their brand ambassador. But despite these economic woes, the Irishman still has a nest egg that is growing bigger and better than ever. So, what is it? Many combat fans might know it as the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.
While many other brands removed any affiliation with the Irishman to save their reputation, BKFC’s founder and president, David Feldman, confirmed that the BKFC has no such plans. To make the situation even better for ‘The Notorious’, the founder announced that the $411 million venture is ready with plans for an acquisition that would change the combat sports landscape. “I am just gonna tell you that we’re in the process of an acquisition that’s gonna change combat sports.” Sharing this mega news on his Instagram story, McGregor wrote the caption, “Bigger, Badder, Better 2025!”
But that’s not all. In the very next story, the Irishman wrote “Mega announcements incoming.” But why did he do so? Well, that’s because the second story featured David Feldman talking about a major tournament that will have a whopping $25 million prize money! He said, “We’re gonna have the biggest, baddest fight tournament that ever took place and it’s gonna start in April and it’s going to be a $25 million ‘World’s Baddest Man’ tournament.”

This will be the biggest prize pool that any tournament has ever had in combat sports history. So, if these stories and announcements are an indicator of something, it is that the fight promotion is definitely raking in a lot of money in profits. After all, you cannot throw away $25 million unless you have been earning almost double or triple of it. So, it looks like the BKFC will be helping Conor McGregor earn some serious money in 2025. And even if it doesn’t, the Irishman already has a big-money fight ready as backup.

In one of the most unexpected announcements of the year, former UFC champion Conor McGregor claimed on his social media that he is already in preliminary talks for a boxing match with social media and WWE star Logan Paul. The date remains to be seen, but the bets are already out. To the surprise of many, the former WWE United States Champion, Logan Paul, has been chosen as the clear favorite between the two.
While we don’t know if it qualifies as a ‘fight of the century’, there are reports that Logan Paul and Conor McGregor are gearing up for a $250 million boxing exhibition! As reported by FightBook MMA, the fight will take place at Mumbai’s legendary Wankhede Stadium as part of India’s “Visit India” tourism campaign. Moreover, the reported agreement could bring together two of the biggest names in combat sports for a historic event with immense media power.
The rumored fight would mark McGregor’s return to boxing after his 2017 showdown with Floyd Mayweather, while Logan Paul continues his rise in the sports world after achieving success in WWE and his previous boxing bouts. We will have to wait and see what happens in the following weeks, but if this fight materializes, it could become one of the year’s biggest events due to the high media power it would carry with it.
