Replying to this, Ngannou stated that he had no idea about it. However, he did mention that their fight is indeed on the horizon. This news comes days after fans got a confirmation from Wilder‘s side.

According to Ngannou, his discussions with ‘Bronze Bomber’ are underway, and a potential two-fight deal is in the works. Holding off on other opportunities, Ngannou intends to let Wilder finish his business in December before stepping into the ring against him.
“Yes, of course, I am interested, we were having a conversation earlier this year before they came out with the potential fight in December. So that’s why we gonna hold that up in order to finish his business in December. But we were serious about a two-fight deal.”

Appearing in an interview with ‘Trill Boxing Talk’, Wilder hinted at the possibility of having a two-fight deal with Ngannou. In this deal, one fight would be under boxing rules, and the other would be under MMA rules.
“I even thought about this idea. Let’s make it a two-fight deal. Everybody always comes to boxing… You come to my house, I’ll come to yours… I’m serious about that too.”
