UFC star Darren Till has always kept his eyes on the boxing map and has ridiculed the pugilists for not fighting the best amongst all. ‘The Gorilla’ claimed that boxers don’t necessarily accept their scheduled fights and instead chose to speak with words. That said, he recently compared UFC with boxing to validate his claim.

Following a combat-packed night, Till had his eyes on both- the UFC Fight Night and the boxing events. He turned to social media and appreciated the bouts. Moreover, he hailed Tom Aspinall for bagging the win against Andrei Arlovski at the UFC event.

However, Darren Till ended his post by taking a dig at the current lightweight boxers. Although he didn’t name anyone, the tweet was seemingly aimed at Gervonta Davis, Ryan Garcia, Devin Haney, and Teofimo Lopez.

If we look at the 135 lbs roster of boxing, we can locate several unbeaten title-holders. But, none of them has fought each other and has only teased to do so in the future. It’s quite a common phenomenon in boxing, and Darren Till, like many others, is vexed with what is happening.

Darren Till and his problems with the boxers

This isn’t the first time Till has conveyed his disgust towards the boxing elites. Six months ago, before his fight against Robert Whittaker, the Brit passed a similar comment. He inquired why the elite lightweights aren’t fighting each other and posed the UFC’s match-making abilities to be higher than that of boxing.

Nothing seems to have changed till now, as Till still has the same complaint. The lightweight boxers have continued to tease the fights amongst each other. In recent times, WBA champion Gervonta Davis and WBC Interim champion Ryan Garcia have hinted at boxing each other.

WBC champion, Devin Haney, and unified title-holder, Teofimo Lopez, have also done the same. But, the matchups aren’t official and are far away from meeting fruition. So, Darren Till’s claims might make sense for a bunch of combat fans.

What is your take on the former UFC title challenger’s tweet?
