The MSG Sphere has turned a lot of heads since it opened to the public in September. Moreover, Dana White recently mentioned his urge to hold the Mexican Independence Day UFC event in that venue. And now, the 54-year-old promoter has confirmed that the Sphere has been booked for Noche UFC 2.
The Sphere is somewhat of a marvel in terms of its architecture. It is worth about $2.3 billion dollars and the Irish rock band, U2, became the first musicians to perform there. Now, Dana White has not only booked the venue for 2024, but he also beat rival promoter Oscar De La Hoya to it. Let’s take a look at what Dana White had to say about that.

Dana White understands the challenge ahead of him. The Sphere specializes in creating a visual spectacle. However, the 54-year-old is confident that he will overcome that challenge. White further stated, “It will be a massive challenge and I love every minute of it. I can’t wait to dive into this thing.” Moreover, the UFC CEO also promised to put on a memorable show at the $2.3 billion venue.

Dana White mentioned that a lot of people raised doubts when he put forth the idea of holding a UFC event at the Sphere. They were skeptical of the 54-year-old’s ability to set up the Octagon in that arena. He said, “Everybody keeps saying to me, ‘I don’t understand how you are going to put the Octagon in there.'” Despite the doubts raised at him, White seems unfazed in the pursuit of putting up a great event there.
Dana White, during the UFC 295 post-fight press conference, told the media personnel there to remember his words. With full confidence, he promised to put on the biggest combat sports event in history. “Remember that I said this to you. I am gonna put on the greatest live combat sports show anybody’s ever seen,” White added.
