During a recent appearance at the Callum Walsh vs. Przemslaw Runowski pre-fight Q&A in Dublin, Ireland, Dana White was asked to share his “prediction” for Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul. The UFC head honcho first asked about the new date for the fight, possibly having doubts because of its previous postponement.

When provided with the answer, White responded by stating, “I don’t know… you know what I hope, I’m hoping what you’re all hoping”. The UFC CEO was further pressed for a clarification and he shared, “Does it happen? Yeah, that, well I don’t know, that remains to be seen you know. But, I’m hoping what we’re all hoping.”

While White has never shied away from voicing strong opinions on celebrity or novelty fights, he seemed to capture what many fans were thinking: should this fight happen? After all, in a recent statement, Tyson had confessed, “It’s hard to walk right now. But two months from now I’m going to be perfect.”

And then there’s Jake Paul. With so much controversy surrounding his upcoming clash against Tyson, ‘The Problem Child’ recently shed some more light on why he decided to pursue a fight that could turn out to be a ‘lose-lose’ situation for him!

‘The Problem Child’ reveals his perspective on the controversial Mike Tyson fight

Jake Paul is no stranger to controversy. Whether fighting fellow YouTubers or taking on retired UFC stars, Paul has always danced the fine line between spectacle and sport. In a recent conversation with comedian Steve-O on his ‘BS w/Jake Paul’ podcast, ‘The Problem Child’ stated, “…yeah, it comes across as a lose-lose for sure and I see that angle for sure and I’m going to have to deal with that but the way I rationalize it, it’s a win-win-win for me personally.”

Yet, Paul has a different perspective. His reason? The social media star turned boxer explained, “Fighting Mike Tyson is such an honor and being in there with one of the three biggest names in boxing history – Muhammad Ali, Floyd Mayweather, Mike Tyson – that’s such a win…”

He also pointed out that the AT&T Stadium would be filled with 90,000 fans all cheering for the fight, a moment he could not pass up. After all, taking on a legend in front of such a massive audience is a dream for many boxers who’ve spent countless hours pouring their all into their training.
