In a recent interview shared by MMA Junkie on Instagram, UFC boss Dana White stated, “We’ll see how this thing works. People have been talking about the demise of boxing for 30 years, and we’re still here talking about boxing right now. I have always had an idea of how I thought it should be done. I don’t know if that’s possible, but we’re gonna find out. I’m coming in guns a blazing.”

So, what does White’s boxing takeover look like? First, he plans to base his boxing operations at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. White shared that his team is already doing construction, setting the stage for what could be a new era in boxing. And with the ‘Performance Institute’—a state-of-the-art facility used by UFC athletes—available to contracted fighters, boxers under White’s banner will have access to top-tier training resources.

But who will White work within this ambitious venture? Well, the UFC boss seems to have a long list of potential collaborators. White further revealed, “I like Eddie Hearn very much. Eddie Hearn was at the, at the Sphere fight. He came early before the fight started. I have a great relationship with him. I have a great relationship with the Warrens. Obviously, love Tom Loeffler and his matchmaking and what he does. Yeah. I would I would probably be working with a lot of people.”

On a recent appearance on the ‘It Is What It Is’ podcast, Tyson shared, “That’s going to be the best thing to happen to boxing just like UFC. If you’re in UFC and if anybody’s booing the fight, you’re not going to see that guy. His next fight is going to be in South Dakota somewhere. Only good fights.”

Tyson envisions the same for boxing under White’s leadership—no more bad fights, no more second chances. With the Apex as a central hub, possible partnerships with figures like Eddie Hearn, and maybe even massive stars like Terence Crawford, it looks like Dana White is building something significant.
