Joe Rogan has done it again! He has yet again made a comment that has grabbed the attention of boxing and MMA fans. Rogan compared the legendary Muhammad Ali with Mike Tyson and claimed that the prime Tyson was better-looking than Ali in his prime. The 56-year-old podcaster’s dismissal of Cassius Clay Jr. was not something that the fighting community expected.

During the conversation on episode #2148 of JRE, Joe Rogan opened up about his thoughts on fighters during their prime. “I look at fighters when they are in their absolute prime. What have you ever seen that was better than this? And with Mike Tyson, I’ve never seen anybody better. I’ve never seen any fighter,” he said. His claim that Mike Tyson was the best fighter in his prime stood adamant.
Thereafter, the UFC color commentator fell into the age-old comparison between Ali and Tyson. Surprisingly, Rogan seemed to believe that Tyson was far better than Ali in his prime. “Even Ali in his prime, even Ali when he was Cassius Clay. I never saw anybody who looked like Mike Tyson in his prime. I think it just, you can’t maintain the kind of focus that was required to be this guy,” disclosed Rogan.
Rogan has previously claimed that ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’ was quite invincible. He claimed that Tyson in his prime could defeat the likes of Marvis Frazier (just like he did back in 1986) and Michael Spinks. However, when he stumbled upon the idea of Tyson facing off against Ali, he said, “I mean he might not beat Ali. But he beats everybody else though. I just think in his f**king prime man, he was a force of nature.”

Nevertheless, the debate for the better fighter between Ali and ‘Iron’ Mike would go on forever. Meanwhile, Tyson himself has revealed that it would be ‘The Great’ Ali who would win against Tyson. But why is Joe Rogan such a big fan of the boxer? It might be because of his 30-second KO.
Rogan’s favorite Mike Tyson knockout
How could the talks about ‘Iron Mike’ go on without addressing his upcoming fight? As Tyson gets ready to face Jake Paul, Rogan recounted his favorite moment from Tyson’s heyday, further claiming that ‘The Problem Child’ won’t stand a chance against him. Rogan’s favorite battle was indeed the boxer’s 30-second knockout against Frazier, back in 1986.

“There’s not a f**king chance in hell that Jake Paul would survive against the Mike Tyson that beat Marvis Frazier. You ever watched that fight? That’s my favorite Mike Tyson fight because that was Mike Tyson before he won the title,” Rogan added.
