Conor McGregor’s former sparring partner Dillon Danis is never afraid of making controversial statements whenever he can. He recently talked about former UFC fighter and current free agent Nate Diaz and claimed that he does not have proper boxing skills. ‘El Jefe’ seems confident that he can beat the Stockton native if they ever fight.
Dillon Danis hasn’t fought in any MMA bout since 2019. He was scheduled to fight the YouTube sensation KSI in a boxing match in the latter half of 2022. But he pulled out of the fight just days before the event. Danis is now taking shots at Nate Diaz, with whom he hasn’t had the best of terms.

‘El jefe’ once got into a scuffle with the former UFC fighter at Madison Square Garden during the UFC 281 pay-per-view event. However, Danis was embarrassed after getting slapped by Nate Diaz outside the arena with a big crowd gathering to catch a glimpse of the action.
This incident didn’t sit well with Conor McGregor‘s former sparring partner and he took to Twitter and issued a challenge to Diaz for either a boxing match or an MMA fight. However, the Stockton native hasn’t responded to the challenge as ‘El Jefe’ later deleted the tweet. Now Danis has taken another jibe at McGregor’s former rival.
‘El Jefe’ doesn’t rate Nate Diaz’s boxing skills
Dillon Danis appeared in an exclusive interview with ‘MMA Junkie’ and took shots at the Stockton native’s boxing skills. He said, “Nate Diaz couldn’t box eggs.” Danis claims to be able to take on Nate Diaz and even outwork him in a fight. “I’d outwork him in a boxing match until I decided to put his lights out and send him packing to the rat pack.”
Nate Diaz last fought in Dana White‘s promotion at UFC 279, where he defeated veteran Tony Ferguson. But since then, he had been planning to move to the boxing scene and is yet to fight since his departure from the UFC.

Dillon Danis, on the other hand, has been inactive for almost four years now. He has made waves on social media with his inflammatory tweets and posts but has not seen action in either MMA or boxing. It would be interesting to see if the beef between Danis and Diaz materializes into a fight.
