Logan Paul is a dangerous opponent for Conor McGregor. After all, the duo are in talks to meet in the ring in a boxing exhibition in India. With the limitations of the Queensberry rules, and Paul being naturally much bigger than ‘Mystic Mac’, the WWE star would need just one good shot to put the Dubliner on queer street.

But BKFC superstar and former UFC star ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry hopes the Irishman would be able to pull off a win. Perry had former UFC star and Khabib Nurmagomedov’s former foe, Michael Johnson on his podcast where the latter made his prediction for the fight. “I don’t go with Logan I’m gonna go with Conor [to beat Logan],” Johnson said on Perry’s podcast on YouTube, claiming that Logan’s celebrity boxer brother, Jake Paul, might have a chance against the Irishman.

However, Johnson hastened to add that since Logan was bigger than Jake, that might give Logan a better chance against ‘Mac’ than Jake. This prompted Perry to interject and clarify that “Jake’s bigger now. I think so. Jake was 227 [pounds] against Mike [Tyson].” Which is true. Logan usually weighs 205 pounds, and Jake went into the Mike Tyson fight earlier this year at 227 pounds, even if ‘The Problem Child’ fought at 180 pounds before the Tyson fight.

However, Perry still gave McGregor the edge (or at least hoped he would have the edge) because of his sublime striking skills, distance management, and ‘slick’ defense, which were crucial in him becoming the mega-star he is today. “Okay, I mean Conor’s slick I mean maybe it might work out for him,” Perry added half-heartedly. Of course, it is important to remember that McGregor-Paul will be an exhibition, and there will be no winners or losers declared. But that won’t stop fans from scoring the fight. However, McGregor’s MMA future looks in jeopardy with his latest move. Why? Well, let’s break it down.

Why do fans think Conor McGregor is never coming back to the UFC?

Many think Conor McGregor will never be back in the UFC Octagon. And for good reason. The Irishman after all, is already the richest star in the history of the MMA and has a veritable business empire off of which he has made generational wealth. He doesn’t need to put himself through the hell of a full camp only to get punched in the face, choked, or kicked by some of the very best fighters in the world.

What’s your perspective on:

Can Logan Paul's size advantage really topple Conor McGregor's legendary striking skills in the ring?

Have an interesting take?

Especially if he could make comparable amounts of money he would get in the UFC by fighting celebrities in gimmick boxing matches. This is not just some fans’ opinion, even UFC CEO Dana White has been saying something along these lines for the past few years. In fact, the UFC boss had said recently that if McGregor returns to the UFC again, it will be sometime next year. This clearly shows that even he isn’t convinced ‘Mystic Mac’ will be back with the added element of ‘if’.

Then why does McGregor claim, every opportunity he gets, that he will be back in the Octagon soon? One reason may be because that makes headlines and McGregor likes to stay in the headlines. Or, he may be totally sincere, but that seems increasingly unlikely, especially with the announcement of his slated Logan Paul exhibition. What do you think about Mike Perry’s take on the McGregor-Paul exhibition?
