Boxing and UFC have been closely linked over the last few years. Boxing predates UFC by years but now, it seems the two have a bitter-sweet relationship. Be it crossover fights or fighters foraying into other forms of combat sports – UFC and boxing have been helping each other expand recently. In that arena, one really important fight to look out for this year is the fight between Logan Paul and Dillon Danis.

Danis, who is thoroughly an MMA fighter, happens to be a really close friend to and teammate of former UFC lightweight champ Conor McGregor. Logan Paul, on the other hand, started his journey as a YouTuber. He then forayed into boxing and has been on part-time employment with the WWE as well. Naturally, the two superstars colliding has been making headlines – and for good reason. Now that the fight is nearly around the corner, McGregor has shared how he thinks the fight ends.

It’s been a while since Conor McGregor stepped into the UFC Octagon with an opponent or picked up the mic to absolutely wreck his opponent with nothing but his words. Since his last fight against Dustin Poirier (which he lost via injury), McGregor has spent time away from the sport, focusing on his recovery, family, and businesses.

In a recent video that has been going viral on the internet, McGregor was seen enjoying his ‘good life’ when the interviewer asked him a few questions about the Dillon Danis vs. Logan Paul fight. “Dillon’s gonna win. Dillon will win. You know, he had the baby… we didn’t get to train together, so… I don’t know the ins and outs.“, started McGregor. “I know he’s doing well. He’s still training and he’s gonna go for it.“, he added.

When the interviewer asked McGregor if he would be attending the fight, the Irish fighter replied with a dry, “Possibly. We’ll see.“. Then, the interviewer asked Conor McGregor about the lawsuit that was filed against Danis by Logan Paul’s fiancee, Nina Agdal. McGregor reluctantly answered saying, “It’s messy, all that. I don’t care about it.

Finally, McGregor was asked if he thought Logan Paul was trying to get out of the fight. The former UFC champ tactfully handled the question and replied saying, “It’s an interesting… build-up. And it’s exciting. Fair play to both of them.“.

Whether this is McGregor’s real stance or if he is trying to play safe, no one knows. One thing is for certain – Conor McGregor will stand by his friend Dillon Danis, no matter what. But what are the fans saying?

Fans react to McGregor ‘rooting’ for friend Dillon Danis against Logan Paul

In the video, McGregor seemed quite apprehensive about the fight; his body language was somewhat indicative of the fact that he wanted to be done with the questioning, or so the fans thought.  They were quick to catch up on his demeanor and left their comments on the post.

Conor the politician lol“, jeered one fan as another said, “Connor doesn’t care“. It seemed that a lot of the fans were under the same impression as another fan commented saying, “He answering everything with the ‘I don’t wanna be involved’“. One fan seemed to think that McGregor was shaking off accountability as he commented saying, “He basically said Dillon is gonna lose and yall can’t blame me for it“.

Others seemed to be in a conflict. Apparently, Danis has been saying that he has been training with McGregor to fight Paul. Now, McGregor has contradicted that, leaving fans confused. “So…Dillon lied.“, said one fan as another said, “Meanwhile Danis been lying saying he’s heavily involved and they’ve trained together“.

One fan seemed to think that Dillon Danis had no chance against Paul and commented saying, “yea not a chance“, while another seemed to think Danis would get a comfortable victory over Paul. “Dillion is going to smoke LOGAN got my money on him“, he said.
