Conor McGregor had previously asked for a bare-knuckle spar to settle things with Sean O’Malley and Ryan Garcia. The Irish mixed martial artist ranted in a now-deleted tweet, right after the 25-year-old boxer tested positive for trace amounts of ostarine. It was indeed the same substance that had ‘Suga’ suspended twice, in 2018 and 2019. But despite being a fan of the ‘Mystic Mac’, O’Malley found himself targeted in McGregor’s rant. But things have taken a different turn now.
Now, ‘The Notorious’ has revisited the scenes in a recent live stream through Duelbits. Therein, he explained his deleted rant on X, which targeted O’Malley. Being one of McGregor’s followers and well-wishers, the bantamweight fighter is now supposedly safe.

McGregor was recently featured in a Duelbits live stream, wherein the fighter played cards and won some cash. But all that entertainment also came with talks about the UFC world as fans kept asking questions in the chat box. One of the fans asked McGregor about his rant for Garcia and O’Malley. The fighter replied, “Fight everyone and anyone, at any given moment. That’s what I’ve done. And then since then, he went and fought Petr Yan, he went and fought Chito Vera, Aljamain Sterling. And you know, he done it, he showed it, you know. And I was happy with that.”
McGregor was truly happy with O’Malley, with him being the motivation for ‘Suga’. However, things went haywards when the bantamweight champion tested positive for ostarine. Despite O’Malley being a fan and follower of McGregor, the Irish fighter had him in the crosshairs. Now, it all seems good, as the Irishman has seemingly taken back his words for the bantamweight champ. But Garcia seemed to be still under severe scrutiny.

‘The Notorious’ continued, “It is what it is. Whatever! You can’t be cheating and using performance-enhancing drugs in competition. And, you know, O’Malley, he has been a good friend, he has been nice to me. And I know I motivated him to come take up this career, as I’ve done to many people. So, you know, we’ll figure it out. We’ll take off the gloves and fight, b**ch. And we’ll figure it out, yeah. And we’ll see then what’s what.”
What did ‘The Notorious’ say before?
A few weeks ago, Devin Haney announced that his opponent, Ryan Garcia, tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs. When the Irish mixed martial artist heard of this, he was utterly disappointed and took back all support. He further sent forth a rant on X (now deleted) and attacked Garcia. But McGregor’s rage also targeted O’Malley.

In the rant, he called the two of them cheaters and asked to settle the matters with a spar at his Black Forge Inn. The rant created quite a ruckus in the combat sports world, extracting reactions from fans and professionals alike. Now that things seem to have calmed down a bit, McGregor seemingly took back his words for O’Malley. But the bare-knuckle fight proposal remains open.
