Conor McGregor has weighed in on the much-awaited rematch between Katie Taylor and Chantelle Cameron. Taylor faced Cameron for the first time in Dublin in May this year with the latter’s super-lightweight title on the line. Both were undefeated and held four belts in their respective classes. Moreover, this was Taylor’s first bout in Ireland and was built up as her homecoming.
Many were taken aback when Cameron defeated Taylor by a majority vote, dealing the lightweight champion her first professional defeat and wrecking her homecoming. Now, ‘The Notorious’ McGregor has come out in favor of his compatriot and client Katie Taylor on X.

McGregor, who would not be attending the bout felt that Taylor looked more composed and content this time around. He predicted a landslide victory for the Irish national and encouraged fans to visit his Black Forge Inn pub in Dublin to watch the fight. Taylor will face Cameron at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland on November 25. Taylor, who is the lightweight undisputed champion moved up a weight class to face Cameron at super lightweight in a bid to become undisputed champion in two weight divisions.

Conor McGregor was outraged over the riots in Dublin after five people including three young children were stabbed in a knife attack on Thursday. “Ireland, at War,” the former two-division world champion tweeted. After being accused of stoking fear against migrants and the tweet being in ‘bad taste’, McGregor clarified that he did not condone the riots or the violence.

However, what caught fans’ attention was McGregor talking about change being needed in Ireland and hinting at him having the backing and tactics to get that change. This has fueled speculation that the MMA superstar may be looking to get into politics and run for office.
