Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz are set to exchange blows once again. However, this time it won’t happen inside an MMA cage, but a squared ring. Previously, Diaz and Masvidal battled each other at UFC 244. Without a doubt, the fight delivered the entertainment it promised. Despite giving trouble to Masvidal, the Stockton resident lost the fight by TKO. However, the boys are set to face each other again after half a decade.
Prior to his boxing bout with Diaz, ‘Gamebred’ took to social media and released a few pictures showing a meet with the super middleweight boxing champion, Canelo Alvarez, Roberto Duran, and Jorge Capitello. Alvarez is set to fight his fellow Mexican, Jaime Munguia, and try to defend his title as the super middleweight champion, on the 4th of May, 2024. However, the world of mixed martial arts is more interested in the 10-round boxing bout between Diaz and Masvidal.
With this final fight in the squared ring, ‘Gamebred’ hopes to put an end to the rivalry against the younger Diaz brother. Although he wishes to claim the victory for himself, only time can tell how the fight would proceed. Nevertheless, the fans are simply happy for the fight to finally happen after getting delayed.

Masvidal reveals the reason behind the delay in a fight with Diaz
The duo were rumored to enter a bout, but negotiations took quite a bit of time for the official announcement. In a conversation with MMA Fighting With SB Nation, ‘Street Jesus’ opened up on the reason behind the delay.
“At one point, because Vegas was booked out, a lot of places were booked out, New York was a strong possibility and he was like, ‘I won’t fight if it’s in New York. I won’t fight.’ I was like, what the f***?”. What’s the beef? This is boxing. That was in MMA [where] you got your a** whooped. But I get it. Alright. Then another diva moment, he said he also wouldn’t fight if the fight’s in Miami. ‘I’m not fighting if it’s in Miami.’ OK, cool. ‘Well, last time I had a bad experience with my boxing match in Texas, so I’m not fighting in Texas.’ What the f***?! To book a venue of that magnitude, it’s not like it can happen in a week or a weekend.”
