The UFC CEO is sure that both his company and the Mexican will have a great box office this weekend.

He further revealed that he would be honoring Alvarez, and he’s featured in the show. Both the UFC and Canelo Alvarez’s fight will be commemorating Mexico’s Independence Day and will seek to provide a great show to the public. In a recent press appearance, Alvarez revealed that he has no issues with Dana White and the UFC hosting UFC 306 in the same city where he has his fight scheduled for Mexican Independence Day. In fact, he stated that he actually has a lot of respect for all the Mexican fighters who will be fighting in the Octagon on the night.

He said, “I have my fans, and you know I support boxing. And I’m very proud about all there Mexican is fighting in the UFC in the same night. I’m not competing with them.” For the unaware, UFC Noche features three Mexicans in the fight card: Alexa Grasso, Daniel Zellhuber, and the US-born Brian Ortega.
