Can Conor McGregor really pull the strings and fire Mike Perry from BKFC? What do you think?

27-year-old Jake Paul once again proved that he is here to stay in the field of boxing. Paul took on undefeated BKFC fighter Mike Perry in an intense boxing clash on Saturday. ‘Platinum’ took in an eight-round fight, after Mike Tyson pulled out of the scheduled fight because of an illness. He entered the fight high on confidence after staying undefeated in his last five fights in BKFC. However, Paul’s power proved too much to handle for him as he got knocked out in the sixth round. Conor McGregor seemed quite upset with the loss and wants BKFC to fire ‘Platinum’. But can this actually happen?

The Irish superstar recently made waves after announcing his partnership with BKFC. Even during the the BKFC Spain press conference, McGregor had confirmed his support for the ‘King of Violence,’ citing, “One of our big stars, ‘The King of Violence’ he titles himself. You know, he’s had such a rise in the sport and now he’s up against a little dweeb of a thing in a fight this weekend. We’re all rooting for him! This [man] is the real deal.”

However, he isn’t quite impressed with the performance of Perry against Paul. ‘Mystic Mac’ then took to his X account to share a message for ‘Platinum’. He tweeted, “Hey Mike you’re released and you can go and compete in your smelly dirty boxing championship thing, the smell of it, good luck. You’re fired”. McGregor’s sports company holds a minority stake in the organization along with Triller who holds the majority stake. Nevertheless, Mike Perry also seemingly holds stakes in the organization.

Previously, in light of McGregor’s announcement, Perry had clarified to MMA Fighting in May, “I want it to be known that I am my own boss and I am also a part owner of the BKFC. Alongside that, firing a fighter of this caliber might just not be possible for the former dual champion. It seems the Dubliner is just playing mind games here as the pair have shown interest in fighting each other in the past.

McGregor in a now-deleted tweet mocked Perry about his claims of being an owner. He tweeted, “Michael you are not any owner in bkfc. Not an iota. You have the tiniest minute dot of a share in thriller. The social media video app. Which is promising in fairness. But it’s a speckle you have. You hold nothing in bare knuckle. Not an iota. And trust me , you are out bro.”

During the post-fight press conference, Perry was asked to share his opinion on the latest tweet by McGregor. Former UFC fighter Mike Perry holds the title of ‘King of Violence’ in the BKFC, and violence is what he chose, at least during the post-fight press conference. The 32-year-old seemed absolutely unfazed by the claims and even issued a warning to McGregor.

Have an interesting take?

During the post-fight press conference, he said, “He doesn’t f**king have a promotion coz me and him are both owners of BKFC so he can’t fire me.”. ‘Platinum’ then went on to throw a challenge toward the Dubliner who previously tried his hands at boxing as well. He added, “You know, I lost to Jake Paul, why don’t you go fight Jake Paul in boxing with the gloves on. I think it’ll be worse than Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather.

McGregor is currently working his way back to full fitness after suffering from a broken toe. It will be interesting to see if he accepts the challenge of facing Jake Paul in the future, or even a fight between two BKFC ‘bosses’ could go down in the golden books of fight history!
