Terence Crawford recently defeated Errol Spence Jr. to unify the welterweight titles. Later, he appeared on the ‘Joe Rogan Experience’ to talk about the fight. Despite being a boxer, he also expressed to Joe Rogan his love for the sport of MMA. He even shared a few names of fighters that he likes to watch.

Joe Rogan had previously asked Terence Crawford if he ever considered doing MMA, given that he has good wrestling skills. However, he wanted nothing to do with the sport. But that hasn’t stopped him from watching it. Let us take a look at what he had to say about MMA, especially the UFC.

‘Bud’ said that MMA always left him speechless. It is particularly due to the aftermath of most matchups. There are some fighters who are left in a bad physical condition after the fight. Crawford said, “Man, they be busted up, eye all the way up here, teeth in their mouthpiece. I am like, man, them dudes are like, ‘Come on.'” Furthermore, he believes that MMA fighters are a modern rendition of the fabled gladiators during the Roman Empire. The undisputed champion added, “Man, you’re talking about gladiators, warriors. That’s what they is.”

When Joe Rogan asked him if he watches the UFC, he said, “Yeah. I be watching it.” Moreover, he claims to be a fan of the UFC heavyweight champion, Jon Jones. Crawford said, “Jon Jones. Jon ‘Bones’ Jones. That’s my guy.”

He even added Israel Adesanya into the mix for overcoming his loss against Alex Pereira at UFC 287. “I like… he just beat the dude who beat him [Pereira], Israel. I like Israel. He’s cool.” Moreover, Crawford has also watched many fights live.

Terence Crawford also showed his love for a former champion. He claims to have trained with Aljamain Sterling, who recently lost his title, before his fight against Henry Cejudo at UFC 288. ‘Bud’ said, “Then my guy that just beat [Henry] Cejudo, Aljamain [Sterling]. I was just down there with him.” He added, “We was training twice together before that fight and after he was doing physical therapy.”

Not only that, he also enjoys watching UFC fights live. Crawford mentioned that the last event that he went to see was one where former double champion Amanda Nunes was fighting. He stated, “I went to a few of them live… The last one I went to was Amanda Nunes.”
Moreover, he also went there to support his hometown fighter, Drew Dober, and even Anthony Smith“Drew Dober and Anthony Smith were fighting on the same card so I went there to support them and Amanda. I like Amanda.”
