Jorge Masvidal was last seen inside the Octagon at UFC 287 in 2023 when he took on Gilbert Burns. He lost the fight via decision and since then has not been featured in an MMA fight. ‘Gamebred’ then shifted his focus to boxing and has even featured in one professional fight to date. However, it seems he might just return for one more fight as revealed by him while speaking to ‘The Count’. According to his contract, Masvidal has been allowed to go and do three boxing fights by the UFC. Therefore, Bisping was quick to ask him the question, “So after these three fights back to the UFC?”

Masvidal was quick to respond and said, “Back to the UFC, back to the UFC.” Masvidal then shared his plans with the former champion and further gave the details of his contract. He added, “They said one of the conditions is that I come back and do one fight for them in the UFC. So that’s the plan. Come back. Definitely do another fight. And from there check the landscape out to see if I’m staying in the UFC or more than likely I’ll be coming back to boxing man and just getting the biggest matchups I possibly can in boxing.” Masvidal’s returning to the UFC for one fight will definitely light up the welterweight division. However, there is no date fixed for his return yet, as he still has one more boxing fight left in his contract.
