As per news reports, former fighter and successful nutritionist George Lockhart played a crucial role in Fury’s camp for Jake Paul. Lockhart, whose former clients include the likes of Jon Jones and Conor McGregor, has also been a part of Tyson Fury’s team for quite a while now. This news also sheds light on the younger Fury’s efforts that have gone into his training ahead of the biggest bout of his career so far.

Speaking to Mirror Fighting, the British boxer’s investment in his preparations for this bout both physically and mentally was evident. And after a confirmed payout close to $3 million, Fury also roped in the services of Lockhart to aid him. Fury is not taking the match lightly as seen through his actions and his statements as well.

“He [George Lockhart]cooks for Conor McGregor and Tyson. He’s the best in the world at what he does. I’ve cut no corners, taken everything very seriously and everything’s done now.” explained Fury.
Lockhart himself is a famed combat sports nutritionist. Apart from the mentioned names, the 40-year-old has also worked with former UFC stars like Rory MacDonald and Kenny Florian as well.
Fury reveals details of hard training camp ahead of Jake Paul bout
Jake Paul moved to Dubai to get used to the climate ahead of his fight. However, Fury opted to stay back and run his camp under his father John Fury, back in England. Despite Paul’s move being the smarter one, Fury’s revelation about his hard training camp meant that the 23-year-old has not left any stone unturned.
In his conversation with Mirror Fighting, ‘TNT’ shared the experience that saw him sparring round after round and expressed how he felt he had to be in elite shape ahead of the fight,” Talking about what happened inside the boxing gym, the stuff that’s happened there, I’ve never had as much sparring, quality sparring rounds after rounds, guys jumping in and out, everything’s gone to the letter. I’m in the best physical condition I ever could have been. The road work, strength and conditioning, the sparring, whatever you name it.”
