There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding Conor McGregor and his UFC return. An actual date as to when he’d fight inside the Octagon remains unclear. However, ‘The Notorious’ has shared yet another tweet teasing a return to the squared circle in a rematch against Floyd Mayweather.

For the past few months, McGregor was slated to face his rival TUF coach, Michael Chandler, on his UFC return. However, his exclusion from the USADA’s testing pool made it unclear as to when he’d fight or if he’ll fight in 2023 at all. But now, the Irishman has a different plan in mind.

In a recent tweet, the former UFC double champion shared a video of his boxing training while sharing a message to the fans. He claims to have carried Floyd Mayweather during their match in 2017. McGregor said, “Don’t forget, I played ping pong with Floyd’s head. I carried him!” Furthermore, he suggested that a rematch might be in the works and promised to be more destructive than his first match with the boxing icon.

He further added, “In the rematch I am going to use this style of attack but alongside a more destructive set of shots on top also.” ‘The Notorious’ also promised his fans that we can expect a knockout from him this time around. “B4, it was just ping pong, this time it’s ping pong and babe Ruth with a baseball bat. KO incoming,” said Conor McGregor. But what does that mean for his rumored fight against Justin Gaethje and ‘Iron’ Chandler?

Is the BMF title match and Michael Chandler fight off?

Days ago, Conor McGregor and Justin Gaethje got into a back-and-forth on X (Twitter), which concluded with both verbally agreeing to fight each other down the line. The Irishman even dismissed his comeback fight against Michael Chandler and set his sights on the BMF title. Moreover, McGregor mentioned that if the UFC and Dana White didn’t want to go ahead with the Chandler fight, he had more plans in store.

McGregor even shared another tweet claiming that he’ll win the BMF title first and then fight Nate Diaz to complete the trilogy. However, those plans seem to have taken a backseat. Considering the huge financial success that was McGregor vs. Mayweather 1, the second fight has all the reasons to be even bigger.
