Francis Ngannou is currently preparing to take on Ciryl Gane at UFC 270. But it looks like he already has his next fight lined up.

The current UFC heavyweight champion is one of the hardest hitters in the world right now. He is one of the most feared strikers in the world and has legitimated one-punch knockout power. Ngannou won the title back in March 2021, when he brutally knocked out one of the greatest heavyweights of all time, Stipe Miocic.

The Predator‘ will enter the octagon once again on January 22 to defend his title. However, he might already know who he’ll fight after UFC 270 and it’s none other than Tyson Fury. Fury is the current WBC heavyweight champion, and he is considered one of the greatest boxers of all time. He’s unbeaten in his career and is coming off a spectacular trilogy win over Deontay Wilder.

Ngannou in the past has talked about switching over to boxing and wanting to fight the likes of Fury and Wilder. And Fury seems to be interested. ‘The Gypsy King‘ recently tweeted, suggesting a fight between the two powerhouses.

Ngannou was quick to react and said, “How about MMA rules with boxing gloves? I can do you that favor.”

 

Both men had a back-and-forth with Ngannou, suggesting that he would fight Fury anywhere.

“You want to come in to my world calling me & wilder out to a boxing match. What I can guarantee you would be knocked out & also paid your highest purse to be so! So have a think.”

“After I handle business on Jan. 22 I’ll fight you under any special rule set you want. In a ring, an octagon, or a phone booth.”

Francis Ngannou vs. Ciryl Gane is one of the most anticipated fights in recent times. The Cameroonian mixed martial artist is a huge fan favorite because of his power. People tune in to watch him knock his opponents out. But he will have his hands full against Gane.

Bon Gamin‘ is undefeated in his professional fighting career and is the current interim UFC heavyweight champion. We know him for his speed and movement and likes to break down his opponents. His future opponent, when recently asked about the French fighter, had nothing but good words to say about him.

Ngannou said, “Ciryl Gane, really good as a fighter and as a man as well. Very nice guy. His movement and his speed, those two things stand out basically for heavyweight. He fights as those lighter division, not like a heavyweight. Usually, they stand and bang.”

The matchup between Ngannou and Gane is fascinating and fans are definitely going to want to see them go at it. Amongst the Fury callout, Ngannou can’t afford to lose focus, as he will go up against a proven winner.
