Conor McGregor never fails to stay relevant as he shared a tweet after former rival Jose Aldo’s boxing match at Jorge Masvidal‘s Gamebred Boxing 4 against Jeremy Stephens ended in a draw. ‘Notorious’ has proposed to fight the 2023 UFC Hall of Famer in a boxing match, but Jose Aldo has turned down that with a vulgar response.
Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo have had one of the most memorable rivalries. Their fight at UFC 194 was a quick one after the former double champion registered a 13-second knockout win, which became a record for one of the fastest KO victories in the history of the UFC.

The fight against Jeremy Stephens at Gamebred Boxing 4 didn’t end in the way Jose Aldo would have hoped. The fans were sure that ‘Junior’ has the fight in his favor as his methodical approach helped him gain the upper hand. It was a close fight, but the judges ruled the match as a majority draw. This prompted the reaction from Conor McGregor, who suggested that Aldo should consider fighting him next. But the UFC Hall of Fame inductee didn’t seem too interested to fight his former rival.
Jose Aldo turns down Conor McGregor’s offer
The 20223 UFC Hall of Fame inductee doesn’t share the same sentiments as the Irishman. He took a rather hostile stance towards Conor McGregor’s fight proposal and delivered an x-rated rant at the post-fight press conference. Aldo said, “Conor has (a) big mouth, you know. He always talks a lot of sh*t.” ‘Junior’ added, “He has a scheduled fight, you know. He’s a piece of sh*t.”
He also mentioned that they were supposed to fight for a rematch following the UFC 194. But McGregor declined. Aldo said, “Conor, shut the f*** your mouth. [We were] supposed to fight in the UFC [but] you run and still talk shit.”
Jorge Masvidal is interested in Aldo vs McGregor’s boxing match
Gamebred Promotion’s owner and UFC fighter, Jorge Masvidal, seems interested in booking a fight between Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor. He shared a response to the Irishman’s Tweet and wrote: “Let’s make it happen.”

Masvidal clearly sees the money he can make from a fight that has star power written all over it. Fans would love to see the former UFC rivals battle it out again. But Jose Aldo’s response to McGregor doesn’t look like that will be happening anytime soon.

McGregor has proved his mettle as a draw with consistent big-money fights guaranteed whenever he steps inside the octagon. He even went as far as to participate in the second biggest money fight in boxing history against Floyd Mayweather. It will all depend on what the 2023 UFC Hall of Fame inductee will consider a fight against Conor McGregor in the future.
