Former UFC Heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou left the UFC and went to PFL after failed contract negotiations with UFC President Dana White. However, now, Ngannou will be getting paid more than most of the UFC champions – a whopping $8 million per fight (minimum). To add to that, Ngannou’s contract has a clause that states that all of Ngannou’s opponents would be getting paid a minimum of $2 million.
Francis Ngannou’s UFC record is as devastating as the fighter himself. Being the hardest puncher in the world, Ngannou was a terror in the UFC heavyweight division. However, now, Francis Ngannou finds himself well compensated in the PFL and fighting one of the biggest combat athletes in the world – the WBC champion Tyson Fury.

Everyone knows that when Francis Ngannou was the UFC HW champ, he was beefing with UFC G.O.A.T. candidates Jon Jones. In fact, there was a rumor that the two would fight. Jon Jones returned to the UFC to the Heavyweight division but by then Ngannou had already made his ‘big money move’. Jones then won the HW title from Ciryl Gane.
Now, as an official PFL signee, Francis Ngannou’s first fight out of the promotion has been decided. On 28 October, Ngannou will be facing off against boxing’s best, Tyson Fury. As impressive as the fight card is, Ngannou’s purse for the match is even more remarkable. According to fellow PFL signee and boxer Jake Paul, Francis Ngannou’s purse for the Tyson Fury fight is actually an 8-figure amount, no $8 million.
Making things even more interesting is the latest Francis Ngannou callout from MMA promotion, KSW (Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki). Martin Lewandowski, the co-owner of the promotion has proposed a ‘real MMA fight’ between Ngannou and KSW HW champ, Phil De Fries.
“I would be open to having a crossover fight with PFL for Phil to fight Francis Ngannou. After Francis is finished with Tyson Fury, how about an actual MMA fight with the KSW Heavyweight Champion?“, said De Fries.
