When it comes to showing up for a fight, Dillon Danis has a fairly poor record. Most recently, he pulled out of a boxing fight against KSI. Fans thus doubt whether Danis will appear at his match against Logan Paul. Everyone has their doubts, except Conor McGregor. But it appears the Irishman has a misplaced belief, according to Jorge Masvidal.
Notably, the Bellator fighter and the elder of the Paul brothers square off on Oct. 14 at AO Arena in Manchester. The fight will co-headline the event along with the KSI vs. Tommy Fury fight. While DAZN and Misfits have pulled a spectacular card, the shadows of uncertainty loom large over Danis. However, ‘The Notorious’ believes the cause of concern lies not with his sparring partner, but with his opponent.

In a conversation with Matchroom Boxing, the ‘Mystic Mac’ had a prediction in the store. Further, he mentioned that Paul’s camp was backtracking. He said, “Dillon will win for sure. They’re already backtracking. They woke up an animal.”

Following this, the former UFC champion disclosed he was “guiding” Danis ahead of his boxing debut. He also mentioned he was going to train Danis, and he also guaranteed a win. Markedly, there is a compensation clause of $100,000 to prevent Danis from pulling out. McGregor expressed that they might have to claim the fortune instead.
“I hope this lad shows up. He’s trying to put a bill on us if we don’t show up. We’re gonna come at him with a bill if he don’t show up,” the Irish fighter declared. While such a sound message would have laid the doubters’ minds to rest, ‘Gamebred’ remained convinced of Danis falling back to his old shenanigans.
Thus, he left a peculiar response in the comments section. He wrote, “All the c*ke got him confused. I bet Dillon don’t show up.” But will the American fighter show up? He himself had a lot to say about it.
What are the chances of Dillon Danis showing up?
Danis is fully committed to the fight, as he recently disclosed on his X handle. He also pointed out that he was carrying the whole card’s promotion on his back.

In the same post, he wrote, “We both have a signed contract. This isn’t a tennis match; this is the fight business.”
With the latest post, Danis has addressed his pulling-out concerns and assured both the fans and the promoters of a guaranteed appearance. McGregor’s comments have also eased their worries. Meanwhile, the traction and tension of the fight grow with each passing day. Only time will tell whether Jorge Masvidal was correct in his assumption.
