Nate Diaz has landed himself in hot waters after the recent brawl in New Orleans. The ex-UFC welterweight star made headlines a few days ago after a clip of the altercation went viral. In the clip, the 38-year-old choked out a Logan Paul lookalike and left him on the road. Now, Diaz is in trouble with the law after recent reports state an arrest warrant has been issued for him in relation to the incident.

Following the news, his opponent for August, Jake Paul seemingly confirmed a backup option for the event with longtime rival KSI. However, this did not sit well with Diaz, who reacted to the news with some strong words.

KSI tweeted his interest to face Paul if Diaz could not make it owing to the legal trouble. Paul responded by accepting the proposal and giving the basic terms of the competition. This interaction prompted a curt reply from the former UFC star.

Diaz wrote, “Lol why Dont u to scared pu**ys just fight each other august I’ll fight someone who can really fight.”

As per an announcement earlier this month, Diaz and Paul were set to box each other on August 5. The 8-round bout was set to go down in Dallas and had the attention of many including Diaz’s longtime rival Conor McGregor.

McGregor even made a bold prediction for the same during a recent public appearance.

Conor McGregor’s prediction for Diaz vs. Paul

Former UFC champion Conor McGregor is backing Nate Diaz to beat Jake Paul in their boxing bout. The Irishman made his comments during a recent appearance at the Davis vs. Garcia boxing event.

McGregor did not hold back his words when making the prediction for the fight. “I think Nate Diaz slaps the head off [of Jake Paul] and I look forward to it,” said McGregor.

However, that possibility might be in jeopardy after Diaz’s recent legal troubles. Fans will have to wait and see if Diaz enters the ring on August 5 before McGregor’s prediction can come true.
