Not a lot of boxers or athletes, for that matter, can achieve what boxing legend Prince Naseem Hamed achieved during his reign. Now, he is training his sons in boxing with the hopes that they will go out and make their own legacy – carry on the name. His son, Aadam Hamed, recently made his debut in professional boxing, and although the fans had a few things to say, his father stood right by him.
The fight was a quick one as his 17-year-old opponent, Vojtech Hrdy, didn’t put up a fight. The towel was thrown in by his team and Hamed was given an easy victory. Now, he is constantly being compared to his father and everything that he has done for the sport. Aadam Hamed and Naseem Hamed both had inspirational replies to the comparisons. This was greatly appreciated by two of the biggest names in UFC, Conor McGregor and his old rival, Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Aadam Hamed made his professional debut recently and won his first bout. However, it seems he still hasn’t won the fans over. The incessant comparisons with his father didn’t seem to shake the young man’s confidence. Former UFC lightweight champ Conor McGregor seemed very impressed with this and took to Twitter to congratulate the Hamed family and share a few words of inspiration with them.
“I am going to show this to my son Conor Jr, and tell him that this is the son of the man who inspired me to become I who I became, and now he is leading the way of his fathers legacy! God bless the Hamed’s! Well done Aadam! #WeAreNotHereToTakePart“, read McGregor’s Tweet.
Aadam Hamed’s father, Prince Naseem Hamed recently gave an interview where he spoke candidly about his sons constantly being compared with him and his legacy. The way the father defended his son and his own legacy, with wit and honesty, impressed the undefeated Dagestani UFC fighter. He shared the Instagram video of Hamed Sr.’s speech on his story and used his words more sparingly, as compared to his UFC rival, Conor McGregor. However, the message was conveyed.
“This guy is a absolute Legend @princenaseemhamed_“, read Nurmagomedov’s caption. It seems some of the greatest names in the world of combat have stood up for Prince Naseem Hamed and his son, Aadam Hamed. Will the fans follow suit?

The video that Khabib Nurmagomedov shared is both heart-warming and inspirational. The legendary boxer really spoke wisely and gave some advice to the people who were bombarding the family with constant comparisons.
“I’m up for Fajr, baby! My day don’t start without the morning prayer. Nobody should compare anyone to anyone. In this life, we come alone and die alone.“, started Hamed Sr., before he continued talking about his sons and them paving their own way in life. “My son is his own man. All my sons are going to do what they need to do in the sport of boxing. They’re going to drop it like it’s hot. That’s how we do it. We’re confident.“, he said.

The legendary boxer didn’t seem pushy about his sons doing well. Instead, his disposition towards his sons taking over the boxing world was quite lovely and understanding. “For me, everybody’s always going to say, yeah, but is your son as good as you? Who’s going to be as good as me? I don’t even know why they keep saying that. Just be yourself. I’m my own self, I’ve created my own legacy. My boys are going to create their own legacy, and we’re happy.“, concluded Hamed Sr.

The words of advice really resounded with Khabib Nurmagomedov, who is the son of a distinguished martial artist as well. However, today, Nurmagomedov is one of the most highly regarded and distinguished fighters in the world. And if Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov can agree upon something, the rest of the fight fans might just change their opinion of the Hamed family.
