Things got pretty heated up between Jon Jones and Tyson Fury after a comment from Joe Rogan. The UFC color commentator claimed that ‘The Gypsy King’ would not survive with ‘Bones’ if they are locked inside a room. In fact, Jones’ former rival Daniel Cormier has a similar stance.

After Joe Rogan‘s comment, Tyson Fury laid a verbal smackdown on the 55-year-old commentator. It prompted Jon Jones to come to Rogan’s aid and hit back at the ‘Gypsy King’. Now ‘DC’ has entered the tangled argument with his insights.

DC dropped yet another video on his YouTube channel to talk about the ongoing beef between the UFC champion and the WBC champion. Daniel Cormier mentioned how Dana White was ready to book a fight between the two heavyweights. The UFC Hall of Famer said, “We got Jon Jones talking about Tyson Fury which Dana said, ‘Hey we will make it happen.‘”

He cannot picture the possibility of Fury emerging victorious in a full-fledged fight with Jon Jones despite not being a big fan of his former rival. Cormier said, “For the record Tyson Fury, in a full-on fight, has no chance against Jon Jones, and that’s no knock on Fury.” However, when it comes to boxing, there is no doubt that Tyson Fury will dominate Jon Jones inside the squared circle. “In a singular skill set with boxing gloves, Tyson Fury will beat Jon Jones every day of the week,” said DC.

DC compares ‘The Gypsy King’ to a layman trying to take on Jon Jones

Daniel Cormier went the extra mile to explain what would happen if Tyson Fury and Jon Jones fought inside the Octagon. He stated that the WBC champion has the same chance of beating the UFC heavyweight champion in a real fight as any other normal individual. Cormier said, “If by chance they ever go into a full-on fight, Fury has about as much of a chance as the guy into a convenience store at the end of your block to beat Jon Jones in a free fight. It’s not gonna happen.”

Furthermore, Daniel Cormier stated the greatest boxers are no match for elite MMA fighters. DC added, “The world’s best boxer stands such a slight chance to beat these elite mixed martial artists.”

Even Dana White has agreed to put on an MMA fight between Fury and Jones. But as per reports, the WBC champion has no interest in getting inside the cage. He would rather accept a boxing match without any hesitation. We will have to see how that pans out in the future.
