The current era belongs to the free agents in combat sports. After teasing a potential fight against Jon Jones, the former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou left the promotion, joining the likes of Nate Diaz as a free agent. While certainty lacks about the Cameroon fighter, he found himself challenged by the ‘Gypsy King’ Tyson Fury. Interestingly, the heavyweight boxer put an exciting offer on the table with a potential fight in Queensbury. However, instead of the MMA fighter making the transition to the boxing ring, it is the boxing champion who proposed a bout inside a steel cage. In addition, another selling point of the fight includes Mike Tyson officiating as the referee.
Appearing in an interview with Radio Rahim, the Brit disclosed his future fight plans with Oleksandr Usyk. While the showdown with the Ukrainian fighter is still in development, a money fight involving the two biggest stars of their respective sports also seems a compelling option.

The 34-year-old boxer told the interviewee, “Francis Ngannou, I know you’re out of contract with uh the UFC. You want to run some big boy money? Come see the Gypsy King and let’s do a big big fight for the baddest MF on the planet.”
“And let’s kick it up spicy in a cage four ounce gloves under Queensbury. And let’s have a badass referee like Iron Mike Tyson. Whoa, did I just sell that to the world!”, he added later on.
The announcement evoked interesting responses from the fans who advised the Manchester-born to not avoid the Ukrainian fighter.
