Influencer boxing has been long criticized by combat sports enthusiasts, but it has become a global phenomenon. However, as the latest Misfits boxing card featuring KSI, Logan Paul, and Dillon Danis indicates, the fans can’t get enough of it! The card was marked by an intense build-up between the event co-headliners, Paul and Danis. Both men went back and forth on social media and the tension eventually boiled over into the pre-fight events as well, where Paul sustained an injury to his face.

The pre-fight antics also saw Logan Paul involving Gordon Ryan in the mix. Ryan, a no-gi grappling wizard, has previously stated his dislike for Dillon Danis. With the event ending in a DQ loss for Danis, Ryan took to social media to take jabs at the MMA fighter. And even with staggering PPV numbers being reported for the event, Ryan is not impressed!

The Misfits Boxing event, featuring Tommy Fury vs. KSI and Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis, recently made headlines, drawing a massive 1.3 million pay-per-view purchases, each priced at $20. The thrilling showdown unfolded on a Saturday night in Manchester, England.

For the main event, Tommy Fury narrowly clinched victory over KSI through a closely contested decision, even after losing a point during the bout. KSI expressed his discontent with the decision, feeling unjustly robbed of a victory. Yet, a rematch doesn’t seem likely at this point.

The Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis showdown, eagerly awaited by many, delivered unexpected drama. Logan Paul emerged victorious over MMA fighter Dillon Danis, courtesy of a disqualification after an interesting six-round grudge match ended in a ring-wide brawl at Manchester’s AO Arena.

Gordon Ryan, who had made an appearance during the build-up to the fight as Logan Paul’s ‘bodyguard’ took to social media to take shots at Dillon Danis. As one fan inquired about the possibility of Danis making more money than Ryan’s entire career with one fight in the comments, he responded by stating, “He certainly didn’t“.

Brendan Schaub, former UFC heavyweight fighter, shared the reported numbers for the fight on his Instagram. He captioned the post, “Say what you want about the actual fight but one thing you can’t argue is these boys know how to sell a fight. 1.3 mill gooooood lord

The Paul vs. Danis showdown had fans expecting fireworks. But no one could have predicted what transpired in the ring. Especially, one of the fighters trying MMA moves in the middle of a boxing match!

The chaos ensued in the final round when Danis attempted a guillotine move, and Paul responded with punches while Danis was on the ground. Initially, a single security guard entered the ring, but he was swiftly joined by more than 30 others. Danis began throwing punches at them, while Paul celebrated atop the ropes.

It’s worth noting that Danis had no prior boxing experience, with his background primarily in jiu-jitsu and mixed martial arts. His MMA hiatus of four years and a mere two professional bouts underscored his limited experience. He had been scheduled to fight KSI previously but withdrew, finally getting his shot at Logan Paul, who had only one professional defeat, against KSI.
