Hafþór Björnsson, known as “The Mountain” in the popular TV series Game of Thrones, is as strong as they come. Apart from being an actor, Björnsson is also one of the best strength athletes in the world. Not only that, but he has also entered boxing and has a record of 2 wins and 2 draws. In recent years, he has expressed interest in pursuing mixed martial arts (MMA) as we have seen Björnsson training with various MMA legends. Interestingly, ‘Thor’ also shared a grappling session with ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor once.

Recently, fans saw a video of ‘The Mountain’ training with MMA legend Bas Rutten.

Karate Combat, a full-contact karate league, recently released a video of the UFC Hall Of Famer who could be seen teaching kicks to ‘The Mountain’. Rutten can be heard saying “I can only imagine how hard it is going to be for the bag”, as he teaches Björnsson a roundhouse kick.

The video’s caption was – “Bas Rutten is the only reason the Mountain defeated Oberyn Martell at King’s Landing”. This is a straight reference to Björnsson’s character in Game of Thrones. Here are some of the fan reactions-
