Jessica Eye is back again, and this time to BKFC! The former UFC flyweight title challenger announced her comeback happily on The Ariel Helwani Show, and guess who responded? Yes, it was part-owner of BKFC and former dual-weight UFC champ Conor McGregor. “Evil” Eye had a good run in the UFC with a 15-11 MMA record. Once a title contender, she competed for the 125-pound title against Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 238 but lost the battle with a brutal KO to her head. Moreover, a string of four losses in a row led to her retiring from UFC.
However, the 38-year-old’s new journey was supported by ‘Mystic Mac,’ who posted on X and stated: “She is in phenomenal physical condition! The best I’ve ever seen her, and I have shared many a card with her over the years. Look at her big bare fists and magnificent musculature! We are very happy to have “Evil” Eye at BKFC! We have high hopes for her and she will be well looked after!”

This post appeared under the original upload by Ariel Helwani, where he shared a snippet from his long interview with Eye. In the interview, Eye revealed the motivation behind her comeback, saying:
“After a long time of negotiation, I am signing with Bareknuckle Fighting Championship. I started out boxing… They finally came financially correct and motivated me enough to be like, you know what? Maybe these guys will take care of me in a way that I wasn’t taken care of in my UFC fights, and that’s financially rewarding.”
The Ohio native has been pretty inactive since 2022 and took time to heal her overall health. She mentioned the same to Helwani and said, “I think a lot of people kind of got confused at times when I started missing weight and having all these problems… I ended up contracting a parasite. Have you ever heard of that show [Monsters Inside Me]? Legitimately, there was a monster inside me.”
However she is back now and thinks that BKFC’s women division need some good strikers. Yes she retired after the scary KO loss to Shevchenko that left her falling on the canvas, but now she is back to establish her reign in bare knuckle fight at 38. She said her BKFC debut might take place in May but the opponent is still undecided. However all this success that Conor McGregor is having with BKFC is not sitting well with Jorge Masvidal.

Jorge Masvidal slams McGregor’s success
Masvidal is planning to come back to UFC and has been calling out several top dogs, with McGregor’s name on the list as well. While speaking to Ariel Helwani, he decided to dismiss McGregor’s success with BKFC, answering that he was the first one to promote bareknuckle fighting through Gamebred Promotions. “I’ve been here first,” said Masvidal.
He further added, “You know what I especially hate hearing? It’s the f—- — what is the f—– midget’s name? The short guy was talking about, “Take the gloves off and fight, b——.” Motherf—–r, the only time you did was at a f—– bar to an old man. Your boy here’s been taking these things off and throwing them down since before TVs had color. So, get the [ __ ] out of my face, and you tell your dark friend over there, Ariel, to shut his mouth.”

The hatred is valid from him since McGregor’s promotion is reaching new heights, while Masvidal struggles with Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA. The former BMF strap holder established his Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA back in April 2021. He has made significant progress, but ‘Mystic Mac’ seems to be taking away his thunder with new BKFC ventures.
McGregor reached Italy before UFC could and hosted a press conference. He hosted a presser in Florence, Italy, to promote BKFC’s debut fight in Italy on April 26. The event will be headlined by a cruiserweight rematch between Chris Camozzi and Lorenzo Hunt. So clearly, McGregor is reaching new avenues with BKFC.
