Darren Tills untimely exit from the UFC came as a bit of a shocker for fans. The 30-year-old, who was once touted as a future star and a possible champion, decided to step away from the promotion after going through a disappointing run of form that saw him manage only a single win in six fights. While there have been rumors about him facing a certain influencer in a boxing bout, a much more recent update on his next fight was revealed by a former UFC fighter in a recent interview.

For fans of the Englishman, this piece of news might serve as something to look forward to since it also involves a couple of former UFC fighters and, most notably, a former champion as well.

The latest edition of ‘The MMA Hour’ with Ariel Helwani saw quite a few of the athletes from UFC 287 make an appearance on the show. But interestingly, it was former UFC fighter Chael Sonnen‘s interaction on the same episode with Helwani that turned out to be the most intriguing one. Sonnen, while talking about the upcoming BKFC 41 event scheduled for April 30, opened up about the massive main event between former UFC champ Luke Rockhold and Mike Perry. Claiming that it was one of the biggest bare-knuckle events to date, the 46-year-old also ended up disclosing that the winner could eventually face 30-year-old Darren Till in his home country.

Emphasizing how big of a fight it would turn out to be, considering that it was a bare-knuckle bout rather than an MMA one, he stated, “If I tell you that the winner of Rockhold and Perry is going to fight Darren Till in England, you probably would forget that, but if I tell you in bare-knuckle, all of a sudden you’re gonna mark it down on your calendar.”

While it’s undoubtedly a huge disclosure, it also depends on how the fight between Perry and Rockhold plays out. However, fans can also agree that both names do sound like a fun matchup for the Englishman. Till’s history with Perry could turn out to be a good backdrop; while a fight with Rockhold also promises numbers, considering that he was a former champ in the UFC and a legend in his own right.

This fight between the two veterans promises to be one of the biggest bare-knuckle showdowns to date, as pointed out by Sonnen. Going down in Colorado, the two fighters have already started a war of words as they get busy with their promotional duties for the bout.
